Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about getting started, session fees, language options, and the care we offer.
How Do I Get Started?
Call (925) 331-0457 or email info@heartnmindcounseling.com to ask about a free 15-minute phone consultation. We can talk about what brings you in, availability, and session fees.
How Much Do Sessions Cost?
Contact us for couples and marriage counseling fees. Session fees are shared during your free consultation. A limited number of reduced-fee spaces are available each month.
Do You Take Insurance?
We are not in network with insurance. Superbills are available on request for PPO, HSA or flexible benefit plans. Contact your plan to ask about its rules; we cannot promise reimbursement.
What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
We accept major credit cards, FSA cards, and HSA cards. You can ask about payment details during your phone consultation.
Can I Meet Online?
Yes. Online therapy is available while you are located in California at the time of the session. Choose a quiet, private place and a device with a reliable internet connection.
Do You Offer Therapy in Spanish?
Yes. We provide therapy and immigration evaluations in English and Spanish, including teen therapy and parent support.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please contact the practice when you need to change or cancel an appointment.
Do Registered Associates Work Under Supervision?
Yes. Our registered associates provide services under the clinical supervision of a licensed clinician.
What Concerns Are Outside Your Services?
We do not treat eating disorders, schizophrenia, or addiction, and we do not provide court-ordered family reunification. Those concerns need a provider whose services are focused on that care.
How Long Does an Immigration Evaluation Take?
Most clinical immigration evaluations take 2 to 3 hours. We offer them in English or Spanish, in person or by video in California. We do not provide legal representation or legal advice. Your immigration attorney determines legal eligibility.
Can I Send Clinical Details by Email?
Email and web forms are not a secure channel for clinical details. Keep your initial message brief and use it to ask about a consultation. Contacting us does not create a therapist-client relationship.
Can I Submit the Contact Form on This Preview?
No. Online requests open when the new site launches. Until then, call (925) 331-0457 or email info@heartnmindcounseling.com.
